Job summary

Mammoth Sports Construction in Meriden, Kansas, seeks an experienced Director of Civil Engineering to lead and grow our civil engineering department for national sports facilities projects. You will guide design, mentoring, and department standards while coordinating with architecture, estimating, and construction teams.

The role requires 10+ years of civil engineering leadership, a PE, and strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
PE licensure and 10+ years of progressive civil engineering leadership.
Experience leading a multidisciplinary civil engineering team on complex projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee MMTH's civil engineering department, including senior, mid-level, and entry-level engineers.
Establish department goals, technical standards, workflows, and quality-control procedures.
Manage workload, staffing, schedules, and project budgets for the civil team.
Oversee development of site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership and final review of complex designs and construction documents.
Collaborate with architecture, estimating, project management, and construction teams.
Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention for the civil engineering department.
Identify staffing needs and develop the department structure to support growth.
