Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Manager of Child Safety, Inclusion and Behavior Management to lead policy development, staff training, and accreditation efforts to ensure a safe environment for youth and vulnerable adults across the Association’s programs.

The role emphasizes ADA-compliant accommodations, behavior support guidance, and collaboration with program staff to implement best practices while advancing inclusion and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and inclusion.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop policies to create a safe environment for youth and vulnerable adults.
• Lead staff training on abuse prevention and inclusion practices.
• Coordinate Praesidium accreditation efforts and ADA-compliant accommodations.
• Provide guidance on behavior support and inclusion across programs.
