Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh seeks a Director of Career Services for the Information Networking Institute to lead career readiness programs, employer relations, and student services across INI graduate programs.

This role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership, overseeing a team, coordinating with CMU-SV, and expanding recruiting partnerships to support INI students in Pittsburgh and Silicon Valley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred for leadership role
• Experience in career counseling or higher education career services leadership preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of Career Services activities for INI's interdisciplinary technical master’s programs.
• Guide students in career planning, job searches, and develop employer-relations strategies.
• Recruit, train and manage Peer Career Consultants.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry, government, alumni, faculty and students.
• Craft and implement career services strategy for INI graduate students and internships.
• Identify student career needs and develop programs, workshops and events.
• Expand recruiting relationships and partnerships with employers.
• Coordinate with CMU-SV Career Services to align strategies across campuses.
