Job summary

Barnard College, via Beyond Barnard, seeks a Director of Advising and Programs to lead the strategic planning and execution of career development, graduate and professional school advising, and alumnae-focused programming. You will supervise staff, design training, and collaborate across teams to deliver resources via Handshake, Barnard Connect, and the College website.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• 7 years of related work experience preferably in higher education, with background in academic/career advising or teaching.
• Doctoral degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and manage Advising and Programs Team.
• Lead cross-Beyond Barnard, cross-Division, and cross-campus collaboration in programming and resources.
• Oversee focus series, events, and workshops for career development and graduate paths.
• Manage Barnard’s Executive Mentorship Program.
• Develop and maintain relationships with campus and external partners.
