Job summary

Waters is seeking a Capital Program Manager to oversee Waters’ Consumable capital projects, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget and to specifications. The role drives project planning, execution, and financial governance across R&D, manufacturing, engineering, and QA, partnering with vendors and regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in capital project management in life sciences, with PMP or advanced degree preferred and strong MS Project capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree or PMP certification preferred.
• 8–10 years of capital project management experience in life sciences or pharma.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of capital projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with internal departments (R&D, manufacturing, engineering, finance, QA) and external stakeholders (vendors, contractors, regulatory bodies) for alignment.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular financial forecasts and reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies for capital projects.
• Implement and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to track progress, performance metrics, and financial expenditures.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present project updates and recommendations to leadership.
• Mentor and guide project teams to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
