Job summary

Ellucian seeks a Director of Campus Technology to lead a small team delivering enterprise data center support and services in a college setting. You will oversee campus Help Desk, Desktop Support, and network, server, and storage operations, reporting to the CIO.

You will drive IT strategy, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors on technology upgrades and cloud deployments. Outstanding leadership and communication are essential for success in a higher education environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years in IT leadership within higher education or IT service management.
• Strong understanding of Cisco networking, virtualization, storage, Wi‑Fi, and Windows environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with executives.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line management and hands-on coordination of on-site technology staff and student workers.
• Ensure stable operation of enterprise connectivity, including LAN/WAN, servers, storage, and cloud integrations.
• Prepare budgets and proposals for capital projects to senior executives.
• Assess technology needs and set IT implementation goals.
• Interact with vendors and negotiate value-added products and services.
• Maintain disaster recovery documentation and security measures.
