Job summary

College of the Mainland seeks a Director of Student Engagement & Activities to foster a vibrant campus community by developing programs that enhance the student experience. The role oversees clubs, organizations, and events, collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to promote leadership, personal growth, and student success.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in education or related field and 3+ years in higher education student activities; a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with 3+ years of higher education student activities experience.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and advisors, setting goals and evaluating performance.
• Coordinate all student events and legislatively mandated programming with partners.
• Develop annual student engagement opportunities and manage student activities fees.
• Oversee gym facilities, club sports, and recreational events; manage budgets.
• Design leadership training and co-curricular opportunities.
• Manage budgets, expenses, revenue, and data for program revisions.
• Serve on college committees representing student services.
• Design training curricula, recruit and support Student Club Advisors.
• Perform other duties of similar nature.
