Port X Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Multimodal Group (USMMG), a leading provider of integrated freight and logistics solutions across North America. Port X Logistics specializes in drayage, transloading, and trucking services, delivering the gold standard of service to an established network of freight forwarders and beneficial cargo owners (BCOs) throughout Canada and the United States.

Founded on four core principles — Culture, Service, Technology, and Trucks — USMMG has developed a hybrid model combining established assets with a nationwide network of logistics partners. This platform enables end-to-end drayage, transloading, and trucking solutions across all major port and intermodal gateways in the U.S. and Canada.

In the Los Angeles market, USMMG operates a 22,000 sq. ft. transload facility in the Rancho Dominguez area, featuring around-the-clock security, approximately 5 acres of container yard space, and a fleet of 35 owner-operator and company-owned trucks, including a proprietary chassis fleet. The organization is executing an aggressive growth strategy to maximize asset utilization and expand its footprint in this critical gateway market.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify, and a background check is required.

Please note that we do not offer visa sponsorship or immigration support for this position. Applicants must be independently legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify, and a background check is required.

The Opportunity

USMMG is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Executive to join our Los Angeles team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and growing partnerships with small and mid-tier freight forwarders and shippers across one of the most dynamic and strategically significant logistics markets in North America. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, deepening client relationships, and helping the organization realize the full potential of its Los Angeles assets and infrastructure. Work towards and exceed defined sales goals and organizational objective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities with freight forwarders, BCOs, and logistics intermediaries in the Los Angeles market.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients, with an emphasis on the freight forwarding community.
  • Leverage an established network — particularly Asia-based trade lanes — to generate revenue and drive market share growth.
  • Collaborate with operations, transload, and drayage teams to ensure service commitments are met and client expectations exceeded.
  • Represent USMMG and Port X Logistics at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums relevant to the Los Angeles and Southern California market.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, client development, and market intelligence to leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the drayage, transload, and freight forwarding industry with a comprehensive understanding of supply chain complexities.
  • Bachelor of Science degree required.
  • Demonstrated and established network within the Los Angeles logistics community, with a strong emphasis on freight forwarder relationships.
  • Asia-based trade lane expertise and network strongly preferred, given the strategic importance of this vertical to the Los Angeles market.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional internal teams.
  • Travel will be a MUST.
