Job summary

ENFRA seeks a Director of Commissioning to lead and support teams ensuring building systems are designed, installed, and operated per requirements. You will collaborate with owners, contractors, engineers, and architects to define, document, and drive commissioning activities across multiple projects.

The role requires 8+ years in commissioning with deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and controls, plus a commissioning certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of commissioning or related building construction experience; mechanical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, and/or testing adjusting and balancing.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, and building enclosure.
• Understanding of commercial construction processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Commissioning Certification (e.g. NEBB, ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE).
• Proficiency with cloud-based commissioning software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Cx Professionals, fostering excellence and client focus.
• Establish performance standards and conduct evaluations.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to define and document requirements.
• Manage project information flow to commissioning agents and technicians.
• Implement and maintain status tracking and reporting to clients.
• Ensure all communications with clients and contractors are documented.
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and negotiate commissioning fee proposals, including labor-hour estimates.
• Oversee KPIs and project health metrics.
