We provide full-service and reliable logistics solutions to some of the world’s largest companies in the energy, agriculture, food, manufacturing, construction, and public safety sectors. Our network is comprised of 18 terminals strategically located near major population hubs along the East Coast, Gulf Coast and Inland River system of the United States. We operate the largest marine terminal network on the East Coast dedicated to bulk and breakbulk cargo.

Business Leadership
  • Own the overall performance of the segment, including customers, operations, and business activities.
  • Act as the primary operational leader for their business segment.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer forecasts, operational requirements, vessel schedules, warehouse utilization, and labor demands.
  • Ensure customer requirements, service commitments, and operational expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and execute plans that support growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer retention.
  • Own the financial performance of the business segment by actively managing labor efficiency, equipment utilization, warehouse utilization, claims performance, and controllable operating costs.
  • Identify operational risks, resource constraints, and business challenges before they impact performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, customer service, and profitability.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and operational best practices, implementing improvements that enhance operational performance and business results.
Operational Planning & Resource Management – Run the Business
  • Review upcoming customer activity, vessel schedules, warehouse requirements, customer forecasts, and special projects.
  • Develop labor and equipment plans that maximize productivity while effectively managing gang structure, overtime, guarantee time, labor availability, labor efficiency, and operating costs.
  • Ensure labor, equipment, warehouse space, and operational resources are properly planned and available.
  • Verify Warehouse Senior Supervisors have established operational plans that support customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensure Warehouse Superintendents have the resources necessary to execute work safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor warehouse utilization, cargo flow, and operational capacity, proactively addressing constraints before they impact performance.
  • Adjust operational plans as business conditions change to maintain safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse Senior Supervisors and operational leadership teams.
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Develop future operational leaders and organizational depth through coaching, mentoring, cross-training, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Conduct regular performance discussions with direct reports.
  • Recognize high performance while holding operational leaders accountable for achieving business, safety, customer, and financial objectives.
  • Address performance issues promptly and consistently.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Customer Relationships
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer meetings, planning discussions, operational reviews, and business development activities.
  • Ensure customer communications are timely, accurate, and professional.
  • Ensure cargo quality, inventory accuracy, and operational execution consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and service issues promptly and effectively.

Port Mid-Atlantic Coordination & Resource Alignment
  • Operate as a member of the Mid-Atlantic leadership team.
  • Coordinate with Vessel Operations, Customer Service, Maintenance, Administration, and other operating groups to support safe and efficient terminal operations.
  • Balance labor, equipment, warehouse space, and other shared terminal resources across all operational priorities.
  • Support seasonal operations, customer transitions, vessel activity, and major operational events.
  • Ensure warehouse, vessel, labor, and customer requirements remain aligned across the operation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve cross-functional resource conflicts before they impact customers or operational performance.
  • Make decisions that support both business objectives and the overall success of the Mid-Atlantic operation.
  • Build collaborative relationships across Enstructure terminals, leveraging operational expertise, specialized resources, equipment, and best practices while supporting other terminals and business units when operational needs require.
  • Own the financial performance of the business segment through effective management of labor, equipment, warehouse utilization, claims performance, and controllable operating expenses.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
  • Review operational and financial performance against budget and business objectives, implementing corrective actions when performance deviates from plan.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Support revenue growth by delivering operational excellence, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring all billable services are accurately captured.
  • Ensure labor reporting, payroll submissions, and operational cost allocations are accurate and timely.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, labor agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hold operational leaders accountable for safe work practices and operational compliance.
  • Review all significant incidents, injuries, cargo claims, inventory discrepancies, cargo damage, equipment damage, facility damage, and operational failures, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
  • Promote operational quality by minimizing cargo damage, inventory discrepancies, equipment damage, customer claims, and operational failures through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
  • Customer commitments are honored or proactively communicated when conditions change.
  • Warehouse Senior Supervisors and Warehouse Superintendents are provided the support, direction, and resources necessary to be successful.
  • Operational issues, customer concerns, and resource conflicts are addressed promptly and escalated when necessary.
  • Directors are expected to anticipate issues, make timely decisions, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Problems are owned, not delegated. Directors are accountable for identifying issues, driving solutions, and ensuring results.
  • Directors operate as members of the Mid-Atlantic leadership team and make decisions that support the overall success of the terminal, not solely their business segment.
  • Directors continuously seek opportunities to improve safety, service, quality, productivity, and profitability.
