Job summary

Urban Insight, a long‑standing digital agency in Los Angeles, seeks a Director of Business Development to own new business growth. You’ll sell website redesigns, platform migrations, and multi‑year support to marketing, digital, and IT leaders, with engagements typically ranging from $150k to $500k.

You’ll build your own book through outreach, referrals, RFPs, and partnerships, while owning every opportunity through to close.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in B2B sales for digital agencies or consultancies with a track record of sourced and closed opportunities.
• Experience leading full sales cycles on services engagements between $100k–$500k, including multiple $150k+ closes.
• Experience selling website redesigns, migrations, and digital strategy services.
• Ability to uncover goals, budgets, and decision processes and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Strong proposal writing and RFP response capabilities.
• disciplined pipeline management and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Build and own a named target account book across core sectors.
• Own inbound sales process and qualify opportunities within one business day.
• Write and own proposals, RFPs and presentations with a delivery-aligned team.
• Negotiate and close deals; set clients up for success with delivery teams.
• Represent Urban Insight at conferences and events with measurable meetings.
