Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific field (biology/biochemistry/biotechnology/chemical engineering).
• 15+ years of industry research with measurable impact (publications/patents).
• Deep yeast metabolic engineering experience and industrialization track record.
• Experience leading cross-functional, multi‑level teams.
• Strategic planning to align research with business goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution ability.
• Familiarity with lab operations, safety, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of scientists from early R&D through industrialization.
• Collaborate with biofoundry, CoEs, and senior leadership to set vision.
• Translate complex science into actionable technical plans.
• Monitor milestones and ensure high‑quality execution.
• Drive collaborations with business units and external partners.
