Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the implementation of programs designed to enhance IEP services.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of human behavior and child development.
  • Coordinating programs to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Tracking student progress and evaluating the effectiveness of programs in improving student experiences and outcomes.
  • Ensuring that all program activities and services adhere to MSDE regulations and align with the principles of the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
Ideal Candidates Have
  • Extensive experience working in special education, particularly with children and adolescents with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing programs within educational or therapeutic settings.
  • Thorough understanding of MSDE regulations, special education compliance, and the IEP process.
Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree and current Maryland State Department of Education teaching certificate in Special Education required.
  • Advanced certification preferred, with a minimum of 3 years' teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in all aspects of the special education IEP Team process.
  • BCBA, Psy.D., or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C or LCPC) preferred.
