Job summary

Everforth ECS in Fairfax, VA seeks a Director of Autonomy Programs to lead and grow a portfolio of autonomy programs for DoW customers. You will provide executive leadership, manage multidisciplinary teams, and shape strategies to meet mission, technical, and financial objectives.

The role requires strong customer engagement, business acumen, and the ability to translate mission needs into executable autonomy solutions across development, deployment, and sustainment.

Qualifications

  • Current Secret security clearance.
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in program management, engineering leadership, technical operations, autonomous systems, robotics, AI, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, mission-critical programs or portfolios supporting Department of War customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead geographically distributed teams in high-tempo, mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provides executive leadership and overall accountability for autonomy programs delivering DoW outcomes.
  • Leads multidisciplinary autonomy teams including program managers and engineers.
  • Establishes program strategy, governance, metrics, and accountability across the autonomy portfolio.
  • Drives organic program growth by identifying emerging customer requirements and contract opportunities.
  • Partners with leadership to develop and execute growth strategies across autonomy opportunities.
  • Builds trusted relationships with senior DoW customers, program offices, and stakeholders.
  • Translates customer challenges into executable autonomy solutions and roadmaps.
  • Oversees development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of autonomous capabilities.
  • Ensures alignment of mission objectives with schedules, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Performs executive program reviews and customer briefings with leadership.
  • Supports capture activities and transition planning for autonomy opportunities.
