Job summary

Description

The candidate’s role will include the selling and servicing, i.e. set up, operation and removal of audio visual equipment on a day to day basis as well as leading all on site audio visual relationships. As the lead contact on site, the candidate is responsible for maintaining those relationships with both the Hotel internal customers as well as the meeting customers. As a sales leader, the candidate needs to be able to keep organized files, contact customers in a timely and efficient manner according to AVmedia standards, and track and record sales progress while hitting or surpassing budget goals. The Director is ultimately responsible for all asset management in his/her inventory at all times, and the ongoing maintenance of that inventory. The Director should be friendly, flexible to change at a moment’s notice, very reliable, be cognizant of the importance of safety for customers and their teammates, and genuinely enjoy serving others. Technical skills are important, but just as, if not more important, are customer service skills, energy, positive attitude, and drive.

Requirements

The candidate needs to be able to spend at least 8 hours a day on their feet, be available days, nights, weekends and holidays, lift at least 50lbs above waist height, and be able to bend down, kneel and squat to work on the floor. Candidate must be comfortable on ladders or lifts up to 25 feet in the air. Some MAC and Windows experience is preferred. Knowledge of high-speed networking is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Basic AV (flipcharts, microphones, laptops, breakout projection, screens, static lighting, audio (analog) mixers and speakers etc)
• Knowledge of digital audio mixers, intelligent lighting, networking, advanced switching, HD projection a plus.
• Qualifications: The candidate should have live event hotel experience, preferably in a Director role but not required.
