Job summary

Westminster Communities of Bradenton is seeking an Assisted Living Director to oversee our Assisted Living and Memory Support services in a scenic Life Plan community by the Manatee River. The role requires an RN with at least five years of progressively responsible experience and prior AL Director experience.

CPR certification and CORE training are required; a health-related Bachelor's degree is a plus and English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least five years progressively responsible experience.
• Prior AL Director experience in a comparable sized community and ability to create consistent processes across multiple sites.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred; CPR certification required.
• CORE training required; ability to speak, read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff: interviewing, training, wage/salary, performance appraisal, policy adherence.
• Oversee department operations, budgeting, and cost-control measures.
• Assist assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or outside into Assisted Living.
• Ensure appearance and presentation of the Assisted Living Department.
• Participate in Level of Care meetings and coordinate with families.
• Oversee medication dispensing, inventory, and monthly audits (MORS).

  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

We are currently searching for an Assisted Living Director to oversee our Assisted Living and Memory Support services.

Essential Functions

• Supervise the staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, managing policies and procedures to ensure achievement of the department’s goals.
• Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
• Assist with the assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or the outside into Assisted Living.
• Responsible for the appearance of the Assisted Living Department.
• Participate in the Level of Care meetings.
• Manage the day-to-day needs of the residents. Communicate needs or changes to the family members. Conduct family meetings related to residents.
• Oversee medication dispensing and handling. Ensure that proper medications inventory levels are maintained and that audits are being performed on a regular basis. Oversee monthly MORS.

Education and Experience:

Registered Nurse (R.N.) with at least five years progressively responsible experience.
Prior AL Director experience in a comparable sized community and proven ability to create consistent processes across multiple sites.
Bachelor's degree in health-related field a plus.
CORE training required. Must be CPR Certified.
Must be familiar with long term care of the older adults and be able to function independently. Must possess the ability to speak, read and understand
English.
