Tulane University's Tulane National Biomedical Research Center seeks a Director of Animal Resources Personnel & Operations to provide senior leadership for animal care programs, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The role oversees ~120 staff, collaborates with executive leadership, and ensures NIH grant alignment and accreditation standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; five years of progressive management/operations experience required.
• Master’s degree and ten years of experience highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior leadership, strategic oversight, and fiscal accountability for operations and regulatory activities.
• Oversee ~120 full-time employees across operational components in Animal Care and Veterinary Technician Operations.
• Ensure compliance with AAALAC, USDA, OLAW, CDC, NIH requirements and purchasing policies.
• Plan, monitor, and report on budgets, procurement, and capital projects.
• Mentor managers and staff; lead workforce development and performance management.
• Collaborate with CVMO and executive leadership on strategic planning and accreditation.
• Maintain readiness for emergencies; ensure safety, biosafety, and biosurveillance requirements.
