Job summary

Sunbit is hiring a hands-on Director of Analytics for the Merchant Ecosystem in Los Angeles. The role leads a team of senior analysts and partners with merchant leadership to build self-serve analytics and a trusted BNPL funnel view.

You will own the certified metric layer, govern analytics quality, and drive adoption of conversational analytics with AI/ML collaboration. A strong background in funnel analytics and merchant networks is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics or data science with leadership experience.
• Expert SQL with working Python or R.
• Proven self-service analytics with certified metrics and semantic layer.
• Experience applying LLM- or agent-based analytics in business contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics self-serve, migrating to governed self-service with adoption targets.
• Own a semantic metric layer accessible by analysts and AI agents.
• Enable analytics agents with Data Engineering, Product, and AI/ML collaboration.
• Govern AI-assisted analysis with accuracy checks and escalation paths.
• Own BNPL application funnel and merchant lifecycle metrics and improvements.
• Define merchant KPIs and run experiments, A/B tests, and elasticity studies.
