Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks a Director of Operations for Surgical Services and Ambulatory Care in Cincinnati. You will lead short and long-range planning for a growing network, aligning staff, physicians, and departments to optimize ambulatory operations and AOC activities.

You will drive daily operations, develop budgets, monitor KPIs, and ensure regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, and financial sustainability across outpatient clinics and ambulatory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field is required.
• Master’s degree (MHA, MBA) preferred but not required.
• 7–10+ years of healthcare operations experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
• Experience managing outpatient or ambulatory care settings.
• Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of ambulatory services and clinics.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and patient flow.
• Monitor KPIs such as wait times, throughput, and productivity.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and oversee revenue/cost initiatives.
• Lead clinic managers and staff development; support recruitment and retention.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
• Drive patient experience initiatives and access to care improvements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on growth, service line development, and data-driven decisions.
