Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Director to lead the AI Acceleration function within the Strategy & Innovation team. The role focuses on translating AI strategy into measurable business outcomes and overseeing end-to-end execution from concept to enterprise-scale enablement.

You will report to the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer. The ideal candidate has a track record in AI, technology, data, or analytics within a leading financial services company, and has led large-scale transformation

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry.
Experience leading large-scale transformation programs (AI, technology, data, analytics or digital).
Strong knowledge of the AI landscape, tools, vendors and trends.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a high-performing AI Acceleration team across functions (AI Strategy, AI Program, Technology, Data, Cybersecurity, Product, Risk, Legal, Finance, HR).
Manage firmwide roadmap for top-priority AI products/use cases; align AI products for coordinated delivery.
Partner with executive leadership to shape AI strategy and ensure infrastructure supports acceleration.
Build out functions to scale delivery of business impact from AI.
Design and implement governance (model risk, compliance, supervision, responsible AI).
Provide executive reporting on AI progress, risks, and outcomes.
Negotiate enterprise AI/data agreements with strategic partners.
Coordinate AI platforms, tooling, and data capabilities across the organization.
