Job summary

Meta's Manufacturing Engineering & Operations (MEO) organization seeks a Director, AI Manufacturing Enablement to lead a team delivering AI and automation solutions across MEO. You will define the AI strategy for manufacturing, identify opportunities, and drive from problem definition to production deployment in real hardware environments.

You will build partnerships with internal AI platforms, collaborate with adjacent engineering teams, and guide cross-functional talent to accelerate

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience across manufacturing/operations and applied AI/ML/automation, with leadership in at least one area
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments or leading complex ops transformations
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows and where AI adds value
• Experience building and leading technical teams that ship products/tools iteratively
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive change across engineering teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value AI/automation opportunities across MEO functions
• Develop and maintain an AI opportunity roadmap
• Scout tools and models from adjacent organizations for manufacturing use cases
• Translate internal AI capabilities into manufacturing applications
• Build AI-powered tools for workflows including defect classification and predictive yield modeling
• Define success metrics and own end-to-end lifecycle from problem to deployment
• Collaborate with AI/ML infra teams to leverage internal platforms
• Work with contract manufacturers on AI readiness and data infrastructure
• Recruit, hire, and develop a team of applied AI/ML engineers
• Foster rapid prototyping and measurable impact
• Evaluate build-vs-buy-vs-adapt decisions for AI tools
