Job summary

Meta's Manufacturing Engineering & Operations (MEO) seeks a Director of AI Manufacturing Enablement to lead a team delivering AI and automation across production environments. You will define AI strategy, build tools for yield, DFx, and testing, and partner with infrastructure and contract manufacturers to scale impact.

You will recruit, coach, and empower engineers to rapidly prototype, measure impact, and drive adoption of AI-enabled workflows in hardware production.

Qualifications

• 12+ years across manufacturing/operations and Applied AI/ML/automation with leadership experience.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments or leading complex operations through tech-driven changes.
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows — assembly, test, quality, supply chain — and where AI adds value.
• Experience building and leading technical teams that ship iterative products/tools.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive process transformation across engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IE or related field, with proven automation deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic workflow audits to identify high-value AI/automation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain an AI opportunity roadmap prioritized by impact and feasibility.
• Scout internal tools and platforms for manufacturing use cases and adaptation.
• Translate Meta's AI capabilities into practical manufacturing applications.
• Build AI-powered tools for automated defect classification, predictive yield, and intelligent test sequencing.
• Define success metrics and own end-to-end deployment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with AI/ML infra teams to leverage internal platforms.
• Partner with contract manufacturers on data readiness and tool deployment.
• Recruit and develop applied AI/ML engineers and manufacturing technologists.
• Foster rapid prototyping and measurable impact across teams.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy-vs-adapt decisions for AI tools.
