Verizon Communications seeks a director-level AI & Machine Learning Engineering leader in a hybrid role based in Basking Ridge, NJ and Irving, TX. You will guide a team of data scientists, drive propensity modeling initiatives, and partner with marketing to deliver advanced ML capabilities that reduce churn.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, governance, and scalable AI strategies, with travel up to 25% and an emphasis on translating complex AI concepts into actionable business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Ten or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience leading teams of data scientists or predictive modelers.
• Experience with agile delivery frameworks or pod-based operating models.

Responsibilities

• Lead a highly sophisticated team of propensity modelers to support the base management organization as it transitions to an agile pod model.
• Orchestrate deployment of data scientists across cross-functional base management pods for customer lifecycle stages and trigger events.
• Partner with marketing and business leadership to deliver advanced modeling capabilities for microsegmentation and personalization to reduce churn.
• Establish and audit modeling standards and governance across the enterprise for accuracy and business impact.
• Create and deliver executive presentations translating AI concepts into business narratives.
