Mastercard is seeking a Director of AI Engineering in the Transformation Team to lead AI strategy across functional groups, drive scalable AI solutions from architecture to production, and ensure governance, ethics, and risk management. You will mentor senior technologists and partner with product, data science, and business units to deliver high-impact AI initiatives.

In this role, you will shape best practices, evaluate emerging technologies, and help finance enterprise-wide transformation

Formación

• Strong hands-on understanding of transformer architectures and generative AI
• Experience bridging model development and real-world application
• Solid engineering background with Python and ML frameworks
• Experience with data engineering and MLOps practices
• Strong stakeholder management to align delivery with priorities
• Ability to operate in fast-moving AI landscape and communicate complex concepts

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute strategic plans for AI Engineering across Mastercard
• Translate organizational priorities into actionable plans and deliverables
• Collaborate with product and business leaders to deploy scalable AI solutions
• Oversee ML engineering lifecycle from architecture to deployment and monitoring
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure performance, robustness, and compliant AI systems
• Provide technical mentorship to senior leads and drive best practices
• Align AI initiatives with strategic objectives across units
