As the firm scales its technical capabilities, it’s hiring a Director of AI Engineering to lead the development of high-impact AI systems and grow a best-in-class engineering team.

The Role

As Director of AI Engineering, you’ll take ownership of engineering leadership across all AI initiatives — combining strategic vision with hands-on execution. You’ll define system architecture, build and scale the engineering organization, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready AI products for top-tier clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and own the full-stack infrastructure for AI applications — front-end, back-end, and deployment
• Lead the recruitment, development, and management of a high-performing engineering team
• Contribute to codebase quality and reliability by writing and reviewing scalable, production-grade code
• Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines from scratch
• Deploy and optimize LLM-based features such as prompt workflows, embeddings, vector search, and RAG pipelines
• Define and implement engineering best practices across DevOps, testing, and documentation
• Partner with AI, product, and design leads to bring technical solutions from concept to launch
• Shape the technical roadmap and ensure projects are delivered with excellence, speed, and reliability
• Champion a collaborative, remote-first culture grounded in innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement

About You

• Extensive experience in software or AI engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership or director-level role
• Deep experience in backend or full-stack development, API design, and scalable system architecture
• Advanced Python skills with hands-on experience building LLM-integrated applications (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face)
• Familiarity with tools like LangChain, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation workflows
• Strong grasp of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
• Background in consulting or project-based environments is a plus
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, especially in distributed, cross-functional teams
