Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director, Lead IT Product Manager, Trial Operations to own the IT product portfolio spanning the trial lifecycle—from study startup through trial close-out—globally. This AI-forward role challenges conventional approaches to modernize trial technology while navigating GxP compliance.

Working with Global Development Operations, you will set IT strategy, roadmaps, and release plans, leading product managers, business analysts, and professionals.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in pharma/biopharma across R&D, drug development and clinical ops.
• AI/ML or agentic automation as IT investments with measurable impact.
• Creative problem solving in ambiguous environments to remove bottlenecks.
• Fluency across trial lifecycle from start-up to close-out and regulatory constraints (CSV/CSA, Part 11).
• 10+ years in biopharma or life sciences IT product management and Agile delivery.
• Ability to quantify IT investment outcomes (cycle time, cost, quality, throughput).
• Proven coaching and leadership of high-performance teams.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across matrixed, compliance-sensitive groups.

Responsibilities

• Set an AI-first vision for the trial operations tech portfolio across full lifecycle.
• Lead as primary strategist and Lead Product Manager for IT investment and priorities.
• Coach and develop 6 direct reports and 10–15 matrixed contributors; drive career growth.
• Drive disciplined execution: on time, budget, compliant, aligned with stakeholders.
• Hold multimillion-dollar accountability across IT investment and run spend.
• Serve on the GDO BI&T Leadership Team, reporting to the Executive Director.
• Translate trial domain knowledge into actionable IT investment priorities.
• Engage with vendors and industry peers to bring outside thinking into trial tech.
