Job summary

Convoso, a leading AI-powered contact center platform, is seeking a Director of Software Engineering. You will lead teams building customer-facing applications, APIs, and data infrastructure, driving AI usage and architectural excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on execution, scalability, and operational excellence in a hybrid or remote setting. You will mentor engineers, define KPIs, manage roadmaps, and collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in a SaaS environment.
• Experience building scalable, high-availability applications.
• 4+ years of PHP with an MVC framework (Symfony, Zend, Laravel).
• 5+ years leading software engineering teams as a Manager, Team Lead, or Director.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
• Drive adoption of AI to improve developer productivity, software quality, and operational excellence.
• Establish and track engineering KPIs, processes, and performance standards.
• Manage backlogs, sprints, priorities, dependencies, and resources; partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and CS to remove roadblocks.
