Job summary

Machinify is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance Engineering to redefine quality across AI-driven development. This remote role supports teams nationwide, shaping strategy, organization design, and technical standards that govern software shipping.

You will lead a high-performing QA organization, own hiring and career ladders, and partner with executives to provide metrics and auditable evidence. The role offers meaningful equity, excellent healthcare, and a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience, with 4+ years in a leadership role.
• 4+ years driving strategy and execution in an AI-accelerated development environment.
• Track record of building or transforming a quality function at scale — org design and not just team management.
• Experience evaluating AI-generated tests for correctness of intent and coverage fidelity.
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Excitement to make an impact in rewiring US healthcare!

Responsibilities

• Rethink QA team methodologies and skillsets in a world where AI generates the majority of code, including evaluation methodologies and coverage metrics.
• Lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing team of Quality Engineers; own hiring targets, career ladders, and culture.
• Represent quality to executive leadership and regulators with meaningful metrics and auditable evidence.
