Job summary

Meta’s Central Security organization seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead identity, authentication, and access management across the infrastructure stack. You will drive multi-year strategy, build automated controls, and guide a cross-functional team of engineers and security specialists.

You will work with product, infrastructure, HR, legal, and security counterparts to balance robust security with operational velocity while shaping security across Meta’s technology landscape.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a security/infrastructure focus.
• 7+ years of engineering management experience, including managing managers.
• Experience building and scaling engineering organizations, including recruiting and performance management.
• Experience forming cross-functional partnerships across product, design, and data science.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-year technical strategy for identity, authentication, and access management.
• Lead the development of models for agent identity and authorization in AI-enabled infrastructure.
• Build and scale a distributed, global team of engineers and security professionals.
• Translate business requirements into security/velocity tradeoffs.
• Represent identity/access perspectives to senior leadership (CTO, CISO).
• Reduce access-related incidents by addressing root causes and automating controls.
