Rainmaker Technology Corporation in Washington, DC seeks a Director of Agricultural Development to lead our USDA engagement and coalition-building with national and state partners. Based in Washington, DC, you will own program development, funding strategies, and congressional relationships to advance precipitation enhancement as a national water solution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in agricultural policy, conservation policy, or agricultural government relations.
• Deep knowledge of USDA operations at national and state levels.
• Experience developing programs and securing federal funding, incl. grants and cost-share.
• Strong Farm Bill understanding and interaction with appropriations processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships with USDA, Congress, and agricultural stakeholders.
• Understanding western water policy and agricultural water landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own Rainmaker's USDA engagement end to end with NRCS and other agencies.
• Identify and secure USDA funding vehicles for precipitation enhancement.
• Own Farm Bill strategy and related legislative proposals and appropriations.
• Manage Congressional engagement with House/Senate Agriculture Committees.
• Coordinate with state government affairs and regional offices.
• Represent Rainmaker across Washington's agricultural community.
• Organize field demonstrations and site visits for stakeholders.
