Job summary

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is seeking a full-time Director for Affinity Groups to grow the donor base across sub-markets such as Women’s Brigade, Real Estate, and Financial Services. The role centers on connecting with people, inspiring fundraising results, and building long-term donor engagement with warmth and enthusiasm.

You will lead donor cultivation, design stewardship plans, manage partnerships with lay leaders and organizations, and mentor staff while aligning with FIDF

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum 5-7 years fundraising or sales experience.
• History of generating new revenue streams and improving fundraising results.
• Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel locally; occasional international travel to Israel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, implement, and manage short- and long-term giving goals for affinity groups.
• Create annual work plans, set measurable goals, and implement donor stewardship strategies.
• Support Women’s Mission trips as part of engagement and fundraising strategy.
• Achieve assigned fundraising and engagement goals through donor cultivation and stewardship.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for an assigned donor portfolio.
• Research, identify, and develop new prospects; cultivate and steward donors at all giving levels.
• Design and implement customized stewardship plans and donor recognition activities.
• Maintain accurate donor information in the prospect management database.
• Collaborate with lay leaders, organizations, and businesses to strengthen initiatives.
• Coordinate regional events and maintain an annual calendar of Affinity Group events.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align events with branding and standards.
• Mentor and develop direct reports; ensure compliance with policies and reporting.
