Friends of the Israel Defense Forces is seeking an experienced fundraiser to secure major gifts and expand donor engagement in Connecticut. You will develop new donor relationships, manage stewardship, and work with volunteers to meet annual goals.

The role requires strong communication, leadership with integrity, and willingness to travel within Connecticut to build the FIDF brand in new communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• A minimum of 5 years front-line fundraising experience.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written; inspiring presentation.
• Excellent interpersonal diplomatic skills; collaborative with volunteers.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to manage multiple projects.
• Passion for the FIDF mission and ability to inspire others.
• Experience with donor databases and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Secure major gifts and engage primary donors within the Connecticut community.
• Develop and cultivate relationships with lower, mid, and big donors to increase annual giving.
• Coordinate fundraising activities including events and parlor meetings.
• Solicit donors according to an annual work plan and fundraising goals.
• Support a women’s division and assist in donor solicitation from this division.
• Build a cadre of volunteers to aid donor solicitation and stewardship.
• Cultivate foundations and develop an online and offline recognition campaign.
• Coordinate donor recognition events and travel within Connecticut.
