Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee PCBA manufacturing engineering, NPI, and process improvements in a high-mix, high-reliability environment for Class 3 aerospace assemblies.

The role ensures compliance with IPC, J-STD, AS9100, and customer addendums while optimizing manufacturability, quality, cost, and throughput; leading cross-functional teams and advancing Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10-15+ years in PCBA manufacturing engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience with IPC/J-STD-001 Class 3, AS9100D, and aerospace processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team across SMT, manufacturing, and NPI.
• Drive strategy for quality, cost, yield, and throughput in a high-mix environment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, and customers during audits and reviews.
