Reporting to the Dean of Student Success, the role oversees a holistic advising model, staff development, and collaboration across campus to improve persistence and degree completion.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, education, academic advising, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and campus partners.
• Experience using student information, advising, early-alert, or student-success management systems.
• Ability to use student data to inform outreach, interventions, and program improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership for Hood College's undergraduate academic advising program.
• Implement a holistic, student-centered advising model.
• Coordinate advising for incoming first-year students and summer advising/registration.
• Develop advisor training, professional development, and resources for staff/faculty advisors.
• Collaborate to promote consistency and quality in advising across departments.
• Lead first-year student support strategies to promote engagement, persistence, and academic progress.
• Monitor and assess student success indicators and program outcomes.
• Support cross-campus collaboration to address barriers to student success.
• Supervise advising and first-year support staff and manage related budgets.
