Job summary

Varda Space Industries seeks a senior Director of Business Development & Capture – Advanced Concepts to own the strategy and execution for adapting commercial capabilities to government missions. You will manage a portfolio from first conversation to award in a classified environment in Washington, DC, or El Segundo, CA.

You will partner with executives, engineering leaders, and program managers to shape mission concepts, define the business case, and close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 12+ years in national security space with 5+ years in BD/capture/program leadership.
• Proven track record owning and winning competitive government pursuits.
• Experience with DoD acquisition pathways and non-traditional contracting.

Responsibilities

• Own the advanced-concepts government pipeline and define capture strategy.
• Identify opportunities across multiple DoD and IC customers and shape missions.
• Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and color-team reviews.
• Translate classified requirements into feasible CONOPS and architectures.
• Build senior government relationships and represent Varda at events.
• Lead and mentor staff, report on pipeline health and resource needs.
