Job summary
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Director of Advanced Practice Providers to lead, support, and develop our APP teams. This role collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to strengthen patient care, optimise staffing, and ensure APPs have training and support to succeed across NYCBS and NYH locations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Physician Assistant or APRN with at least five years of APP practice and management experience, and a willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program and current New York State licensure.
- At least five years of clinical APP experience; oncology experience preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of the APP role in specialty practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in data reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee APP staff performance and professional development.
- Optimize staffing and coverage across locations.
- Coordinate scheduling with staffing personnel.
- Support recruitment and retention of APP talent.
- Guide onboarding and training with cross-functional teams.
- Promote continuing education and adherence to practice standards.
- Lead quality and risk management initiatives and clinical reviews.
- Utilize data to inform staffing and operational decisions.
