Job summary

Timpte is seeking a Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering for our David City, NE manufacturing facility. The role leads the design and deployment of equipment and processes to drive high-volume manufacturing growth.

You will partner with operations to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost through advanced methods; oversee the AME department structure, and manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of management experience including budget management and performance appraisal responsibility.
• Ability to develop detailed project plans and timelines.
• Excellent cross-functional communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP software, and SolidWorks CAD.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for travel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations to improve safety, quality productivity, and cost through advanced manufacturing methods to drive operational excellence according to the Timpte Production System.
• Develop and execute manufacturing footprint strategy for the company including a roadmap for implementing new equipment, automation, systems, and manufacturing technologies.
• Define and oversee the process for implementing New Product Development and Engineering Changes in the manufacturing facilities.
• Develop the organizational structure of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department to better utilize resources to achieve goals.
