Job summary

Sterling Care Rockville in Rockville, MD, is seeking a Director of Admissions to lead admission management, census development, and strategic coordination within the facility's leadership team.

The role collaborates with regional business development, hospital liaisons, and the center's administrator to meet weekly admission targets, develop marketing plans, and ensure smooth enrollment.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of outside sales, business development, or hospital liaison experience, preferably in healthcare
• Public speaking, marketing, a customer service attitude, innovative work ethic, persuasive ability, and organizational skills
• Active listening, excellent verbal and written communication, and a team-player mindset
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures

Responsibilities

• Meeting weekly and monthly admissions goals against target
• Developing and maintaining a monthly marketing plan for the center
• Conducting effective sales calls with designated targeted referral sources
• Managing referrals through hospital referral platforms with fast, accurate response times
• Reviewing patient medical records for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
• Verifying insurance benefits and authorization prior to admission
• Ensuring a smooth transition and complete paperwork upon admission
• Partnering with the clinical team to determine whether the center can meet each referred resident's needs
• Providing remote admissions coverage every third weekend on a rotating schedule with the regional admissions team
