Faith and community are central to the Taylor experience. Faculty, staff, and students seek to live out Christ's love and truth through worship, service, learning, and life together. From the classroom and athletic field to chapel and everyday relationships, Taylor is a community shaped by a shared commitment to spiritual growth, academic excellence, and meaningful service.

Taylor's distinctive approach to Christian higher education creates an environment where students are known, challenged, and equipped to pursue their calling with purpose.

The Position

Taylor University is seeking a Director of Undergraduate Admissions to provide strategic and operational leadership for the recruitment and enrollment of traditional undergraduate students.

This leader will oversee Taylor's undergraduate admissions strategy, team, and operations, developing comprehensive approaches to attract and enroll high school and transfer students who are missionally aligned, academically prepared, and positioned to thrive within Taylor's Christ-centered community.

The Director will lead and develop the admissions team, establish and monitor enrollment and territory goals, strengthen key recruitment partnerships, and use enrollment data to inform strategy and adjust efforts throughout the recruitment cycle. Working closely with Financial Aid, Marketing, Intercultural Programs, Global Engagement, faculty, and other University partners, this person will help Taylor achieve its annual enrollment and financial goals while building a strong and sustainable recruitment pipeline for the future.

The right leader will bring strategic thinking and operational discipline alongside a genuine ability to develop people, build relationships, and lead collaboratively within Taylor's mission and culture.

  • Establish annual enrollment and geographic territory goals and use admissions data to monitor progress, identify trends, and adjust strategy.
  • Oversee undergraduate admissions operations, including counselor travel, campus visits, recruitment events, application review, admissibility standards, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, evaluate, and develop admissions staff while recognizing individual and team success.
  • Build and strengthen strategic recruitment relationships with feeder high schools, churches, Christian camps, alumni families, community organizations, and other key partners.
  • Identify new recruitment opportunities and strategies to strengthen Taylor's reach, legacy recruitment, student diversity, and long-term enrollment growth.
  • Partner across the University with Financial Aid, Marketing, Intercultural Programs, Global Engagement, faculty, and other departments to advance enrollment, discount-rate, recruitment, and student-success goals.
  • Manage the undergraduate admissions budget and strategically allocate resources according to enrollment priorities.
  • Represent Undergraduate Admissions on University committees and contribute to institutional conversations regarding admissions, enrollment, policies, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Progressive professional experience in undergraduate admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, supervising, and developing a professional team.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies tied to measurable enrollment goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using admissions and enrollment data to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and guide decision-making.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, and competing operational priorities.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Experience developing recruitment relationships with schools, churches, community organizations, alumni, or similar partners is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, staff, faculty, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, professionalism, and discretion when working with sensitive student, personnel, and institutional information.
