Des Plaines Park District is seeking a Superintendent of Administration to oversee risk management, ADA compliance, board relations, and project management. The role reports to the Director of Administration & HR and supervises inclusion staff, with a focus on improving efficiency and innovation across district operations.

Bachelor's degree required; minimum five years in related work; strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, recreation, or related field.
• Minimum of five years' work experience in a related position, preferably in recreation.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead risk management as District safety contact and Chairperson of the Risk Management Committee.
• Oversee ADA compliance, inclusion staff, and accessibility initiatives across facilities and programs.
• Manage board relations: prepare packets, minutes, and ensure Open Meetings Act compliance.
• Support public relations through data analysis, reporting, and inter-department coordination.
• Direct project coordination including cross-department teams and grant administration.
