Job summary

Cobb Community Foundation seeks an experienced Director of Accounting Services to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a diverse portfolio, including hospitality, restaurant, and real estate management entities. You will lead day-to-day accounting, ensure accurate reporting, and strengthen internal controls.

The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing multiple entities and complex accounting operations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Ensure timely tax filings and compliance.
• Support audits, lender reporting, and external reviews.
• Lead and develop accounting staff.
• Consolidate multi-entity financial reporting as needed.
• Assist with budgets and financial projections.
