Job summary

The Nuclear Company seeks a Director of Accounting, Nuclear, to lead controllership across our nuclear businesses, ensuring accurate month-end close, consolidation, and internal controls. This hands-on leader partners with Finance, FP&A, and Operations to scale accounting as the business grows.

Hybrid role based in Columbia, SC or Washington, DC, requiring in-office presence 3 days/week and relocation suitability. CPA and Big Four experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge across multi-entity environments.
• Experience with acquisitions and integration into common systems.

Responsibilities

• Close and financial reporting; month-end close and consolidation.
• Lead accounting for revenue recognition, project costs, and asset capitalization.
• Drove policy, controls, and audit readiness across Nuclear entities.
