Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field.
• 7+ years in utility accounting or regulated environment; public accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in GAAP and SEC reporting; knowledge of FERC Uniform System of Accounts.
• Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Attention to detail and audit readiness.
• Effective liaison between plant sites and corporate accounting.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FERC, SEC, and GAAP standards.
• Nuclear Fuel Accounting: Track fuel costs (uranium procurement and processing).
• Capital Planning: Support annual and long-term capital plans and depreciation schedules.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Record additions, transfers, and retirements of fixed assets.
• Financial Reporting & Close: Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Analyze nuclear operational costs and budgets for strategic planning.
• Internal Controls: Maintain documentation of internal controls for audit readiness.
• Liaison Functions: Coordinate between nuclear plant sites and corporate accounting.
