Venteon Finance in Novi, MI area is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead a stable mid-sized company’s accounting function. The role requires strategic oversight, deep GAAP knowledge, and hands-on leadership of a full-cycle accounting team.

You will direct daily, monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, prepare financial statements and management reports, coordinate with an external firm for tax filings, and partner with ownership on budgets, forecasts, and cash management.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supervising a full-cycle Accounting team.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Small-Midsized company experience.

Aufgaben

• Direct, and review the work performed within accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other Accounting staff areas
• Step into transaction processing, reconciliations, collections, vendor issue resolution or administrative accounting work when workload or coverage requires
• Own daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports, including profit and variance analysis, for ownership and leadership
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and projection analysis for accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and operating performance
• Coordinate year-end information and requested schedules with the external accounting firm
• Manage daily cash reporting and maintain visibility into available cash, expected receipts, vendor obligations and other cash requirements
• Prepare or coordinate monthly and annual tax filings with the external accounting firm and track required due dates and completion
• Ensure accounting activities follow relevant accounting principles, internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements
• Other Duties as assigned
