Maverick Payments, based in Calabasas, California, seeks a Director of Accounting to lead the company’s accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. You will own the monthly and annual close, oversee accounts payable and the general ledger, and serve as the primary lead for the annual audit.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years managing accounting teams and close processes.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing annual audits and external auditors.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Own the monthly and year-end close process and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate and manage the annual financial statement audit and act as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
