A confidential Director of Accounting position in Lafayette, LA targets a multi-entity organization. You will report to the CFO, oversee accounting across businesses, and lead a team of about 20 professionals, owning the month-end and year-end close and delivering accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has extensive accounting leadership, strong GAAP expertise, and a proven track record in developing teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant leadership responsibility.
• CPA strongly preferred; M&A accounting or due diligence experience beneficial.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will provide accounting leadership across multiple businesses, oversee financial reporting and the close process, and lead an accounting team of approximately 20 professionals. The role will focus on maintaining financial integrity, strengthening internal controls, improving processes and efficiencies, and developing the accounting function to support continued growth.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial accounting leadership experience, strong technical knowledge of GAAP financial reporting, and a track record of developing teams and improving accounting operations. A CPA is strongly preferred, and experience with M&A accounting, due diligence, or acquisition-related reporting would be beneficial.
