Job summary

MSSU seeks a Director of Academic Support Services to lead advising and related programs within the Student Success Center. You will shape policy, oversee staff, and coordinate with academic units to promote student learning, success, and retention.

You will implement a data-informed approach, manage budgets, and work across offices to support students from orientation through graduation. Strong higher-ed leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Strong computing skills and knowledge of learning management systems and other admin systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Experience in higher education leadership (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, implement, and promote advising and academic support services.
• Collaborate with campus offices to integrate advising and orientation.
• Oversee Student Management Software and early alert systems.
• Manage budgets and supervise staff in the Student Success Center.
• Foster retention and student life initiatives through data-informed assessment.
