Job summary

Atmosera is seeking an experienced Director of Security Operations to lead its 24x7x365 SOC and mature the MXDR practice. This executive role drives security operations, automation, and client satisfaction across a portfolio of managed services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive cybersecurity leadership experience, strong collaboration across remote teams, and a track record of delivering scalable, high-quality security operations aligned with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Cybersecurity.
• 5+ years leading enterprise Security Operations or Managed Security Services.
• Operational excellence with repeatable processes and strong documentation.
• Clear communication of complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative across remote, cross-functional teams.
• Data-driven problem solving and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Continuously improve maturity, scalability, and consistency of security operations.
• Own operational delivery of Atmosera's MXDR services.
• Provide executive client leadership for security operations.
• Provide technical leadership across Microsoft security tools (Defender XDR, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Entra ID Protection, Purview, Security Copilot).
• Lead incident response readiness and threat operations.
• Align Security Operations with Atmosera's strategic security program (NIST CSF, MCSB, ISO 27-1, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing security professionals.
• Understand the financial drivers of managed security services.
• Establish and monitor KPIs (SLA/SLO, MTTD, MTTR, analyst utilization, automation, client satisfaction, service profitability).
