Atmosera is seeking an experienced Director of Security Operations to lead our 24x7x365 MXDR practice and mature security operations across client engagements. This executive role drives operational excellence, client satisfaction, scalability, and growth while aligning with Atmosera's strategic objectives.

You will oversee a world-class SOC, build repeatable processes, mentor high-performing teams, and lead automation and AI adoptions across Defender XDR, Sentinel, and related Microsoft

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Cybersecurity.
• 5+ years leading enterprise Security Operations or Managed Security Services.
• Operational Excellence — run repeatable processes with attention to detail.
• Communication — translate complex topics for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaboration — work across remote, cross-functional teams to keep momentum.
• Problem solving — use data to identify root causes and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of Atmosera's 24x7x365 SOC.
• Continuously improve maturity, scalability, and consistency of security operations.
• Own operational delivery of Atmosera's MXDR services.
• Serve as the executive operational leader for client-facing security operations.
• Provide technical leadership across Microsoft security tools (Defender XDR, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365).
• Lead incident response readiness and threat operations.
• Align Security Operations with Atmosera's strategic security program (NIST CSF, MCSB, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain security professionals.
• Understand financial drivers of managed security services.
• Establish and monitor KPIs: SLA/SLO, MTTD, MTTR, analyst utilization, automation adoption, client satisfaction.
