Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York seeks an experienced anesthesiologist to serve as the Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology. This on-site, full-time role at Woodhull Medical Center supports obstetric care, labor analgesia and cesarean delivery, with leadership in clinical service development.

The ideal candidate is board-certified in anesthesiology, fellowship-trained in obstetric anesthesia, and committed to an integrative midwifery model of care, with strong leadership and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician (MD/DO), board-certified in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship-trained in obstetric anesthesiology, or equivalent.
• Experience with an integrative midwifery model of care.
• Strong leadership, administration, organization and program development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site, full-time consultant in the labor and delivery suite.
• Assist obstetric colleagues in patient care and pain relief for labor and cesarean delivery.
• Manage emergencies that may arise with composure and efficiency.
